Choosing to live by purpose

 LIVING PURPOSEFULLY...

Ok, my friend recently reached out to my blog, she notices a theme statement "Live your purpose" as soon as possible, she drops to my inbox, "Hey Agie, this seems to be a very broad statement I have always heard of, can you throw more light about it for me to understand".  So this triggered me to layout some of my experience of living purposefully, Of course, it is a journey to enjoy but not a struggle as some people may think.

As for me, a purpose is YOUR WHY, why wake up in the morning to do something, why hang out with some people, why you eat what you eat and why, why, why..... and the end goal is YOU because you have the correct answer to that WHY?

And the answer to that WHY should not base on anyone else but it should focus on your strengths and weaknesses. All the answers to these questions should feel effortless and enjoyable to enable you to live your life fully with purpose.

So let's dig in....though there are many ways one can live purposefully from my experience let me jot down a few.

Having supportive relationships.

Basing on a traditional saying which goes by, "you become like the five people you spend most of your time with". In most cases, we build friendships basing on proximity and selfish interests, but living purposefully will require you to understand the need to evaluate friends to ensure that they are supportive and worth hanging out with.

Knowing yourself.

Speaking of strengths and weaknesses, honestly, there is no way you are going to focus to do something effectively without knowing who you are and your value, this helps you to put your energy and where you need to improve in life. So if you know yourself, you will definitely be able to figure out what you want to be in life...

Taking responsibility.

Guys, this is something I have learned the hard way and am still learning, embracing your problems in life and not to blame others for what has gone wrong, YIKES. By taking responsibility you accept the results you achieve in life, and gaining bad results may mean that you also contributed to the problem and you are part of it, so identify your contribution and find a way to make it right next time so that you are not bitter by the snake twice.

Embracing failure.

When you fail, you are able to know better and do better. Honestly guys some days are beyond days and you may think the world has it on you only but picking up yourself and looking at that failure as a motivator to move towards your goal could be the best thing to embrace in this life.

When happiness leads you to success.

In one of my blogs I have talked of finding happiness in everything you do, be it something small like reading a favourite book, taking a walk, making a call to someone special. Personally, you don't have to first gain material wealth to live a purposeful life. But there is more to life and this draws you to ask yourself the question "Why do you want success?". My answer could be "Because I want to be happy".
So, the bottom line is that we are all seeking happiness that brings success, so let success first come from within to push us effortlessly to seek out the outer gains.
